A Sonnet for Spinach

It took me years
to grow to love you
and now that I have
I can't have you

It's sad you know
for me and Popeye
What can we eat?
No salad
No sauteed spinach with lemon and garlic

Damn E. Coli
Damn Diarrhea
How long until my yearning passes
Come back Spinach...
Come back

You're cracking me up girl! Hope the ebay auctions are going well.

I feel the same way. My lunch salads just aren't the same without dear, old spinach. Plain lettuce is boring!

hehe. I can sympathise, here in Australia we haven't been able to get bananas for months due to damage from a cyclone.

When you can't have something, it makes you want it even more! :)

I thought I saw spinach at the store tonight. I wasn't looking closely, but I think it was there. There is hope.

What I don't get is why don't people properly wash their veggies before they eat it? There was a little caterpillar in my romaine tonight - I promise, I washed that lettuce really, really well! (EWwwwwww...)

Avoiding spinach wasn't really bothering me until I read your heartfelt sonnet.

What is Popeye gonna do???

never fear girl. It's only the slimy prebagged kind. Buy it fresh and never fear. Who wants spinish trapped in a bag anyway!
